Itinerary

Day 1Hello Tanzania

Welcome to Tanzania, the largest country in East Africa and home to some of the world’s most spectacular wildlife. Upon your arrival, a private transfer will take you to your hotel in Arusha. Here, you’ll find a lively city waiting to be explored – a contrast to the lush wilderness of the north. Meet your fellow travellers and expert guide at the hotel, before heading out to celebrate your first night with welcome drinks.

  • Accommodation: Hotel in Arusha
  • Meals: No Meals

Day 2The wildlife in Serengeti

This morning will see you head out into the wilderness of Serengeti National Park. En route, stop by the historic Olduvai Gorge in the Great Rift Valley, where the earliest evidence of human activity is found. After your light archeology lesson, you’ll then arrive in one of the most spectacular safari destinations in the region. Depending on the season, you’ll experience either the sun-parched beauty of the dry months, or the lush abundance following rainfall. This afternoon, head out with your group on a game drive into the Serengeti in search of the Big 5.

  • Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

Day 3Morning Game Drive Safari

Wake up early this morning to head into the Serengeti on a morning game drive. Discover a wild landscape as you drive deeper into the national park in search of wildlife. This is a unique opportunity to encounter some of Africa’s most sought-after animals. Then, enjoy lunch back at camp before heading out again for another game drive. Watch the terrain transform from open plains to forested scrubs, passing sunbathing lions and roaming wildebeest. As the sun sets over the grasslands, head back to camp for a night under the stars.

As an optional extra, you can take a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti instead of the morning game drive.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4Into Africa's Eden

Today’s adventure will take you to the Ngorongoro Crater, a 10-mile stretch of wilderness brimming with biodiversity. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this region is known as Tanzania’s Garden of Eden, and within this ancient volcanic caldera, you’ll find one of the largest wildlife populations on earth. From lions and elephants to flamingoes and the (critically endangered) black rhino, the range of species you’ll encounter here is breathtaking.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5Back To Arusha

After breakfast head to Arusha Airport this morning and catch your flight back home, or choose to extend and add some extra days in Zanzibar famous for its crystal clear water. Please contact us if you choose to add extra days.
