Itinerary

Day 1Hello Kenya

Welcome to Nairobi! Your exciting Kenyan adventure starts here. After you settle in, we’ll head straight to the Giraffe Center. You can feed the giraffes and maybe even get a kiss from these tall, gentle giants.

After the fun with giraffes, we’ll have a tasty local lunch and explore some markets or relax at a café. Rest up at your comfy hotel because tomorrow, we’re heading into the wild!

Day 2Road Trip To The Wilds of Mara

After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to pack up and hit the road. We’re trading the city lights for the wild sights of the Masai Mara. Buckle up and get comfy – this road trip is all about scenic beauty and maybe a few surprise wildlife sightings along the way.

As we drive through the Great Rift Valley, don’t forget to snap some pics – the landscapes are Instagram gold! We’ll make a pit stop or two for snacks and stretches.By the time we roll into the Mara, you’ll be itching to dive into safari mode. First things first, we’ll settle into our cozy camp and enjoy a delicious lunch surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Next up, we’re heading to a local Maasai village. Get ready to be wowed by the vibrant culture and traditions of the Maasai people. Learn about their way of life, join in a traditional dance, and maybe even try your hand at some Maasai crafts. It’s a cultural immersion like no other!

As the sun starts to dip, we’ll set off on a sunset walking safari. Imagine strolling through the golden grasslands with our expert guides, tracking animals and soaking in the breathtaking views. The cooler evening air brings out all kinds of wildlife, and the changing light makes for some epic photo ops.

After our walk on the wild side, we’ll head back to camp for dinner under the stars. Gather around the campfire, share your first safari stories, and let the adventure vibes sink in. Tomorrow, the Mara magic continues!

Day 3Masai Mara Magic – Full Day Game Drive

Mornings in the Mara are nothing short of enchanting. Imagine the golden glow of the savannah bathed in early light, with crisp, fresh air and the gentle sounds of wildlife waking up around you. 

Today, we’re embarking on a full-day game drive in our trusty 4x4s, with our expert safari guides leading the charge. Our goal: to spot the Big Five – elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard. But don’t worry, the adventure doesn’t stop there. The Mara’s vast grasslands are home to a wealth of wildlife, including elegant giraffes, swift cheetahs, and watering holes that draw in over 32,000 zebras and 37,000 wildebeests!

We’ll break for a picnic lunch right in the heart of this stunning landscape. Picture enjoying your meal while elephants meander in the distance or zebras graze nearby – it’s dining with the best view ever!

In the afternoon, if you’re up for it, we can visit a local Maasai village. Meet the Maasai people, learn about their culture, and maybe even join in a traditional dance.

As the sun sets, casting a golden glow over the savannah, we’ll enjoy our dinner under the stars. Gather around the campfire to share stories of the day’s adventures, and enjoy the mesmerizing sounds of the African night. With the clear skies above, you might even see a shooting star or two.

Day 4Lakeside Wonders at Naivasha

Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy a delicious breakfast . We then set off for the scenic drive to Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a lakeside lunch with stunning views.

After our walk on the wild side, we’ll refuel with a hearty breakfast before setting off for the stunning Lake Naivasha. The drive itself is a visual treat, with breathtaking landscapes and plenty of time to chat about the morning’s adventures.

Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a delightful lakeside lunch, soaking in the serene views. The afternoon is all about water and wildlife. We’ll hop on a boat safari, gliding across the lake past hippos lazing in the water and a vibrant array of birds.

As the day winds down, we’ll head to our charming lakeside lodge. Relax, unwind, and enjoy a peaceful evening by the water.

Day 5Leisurely Walk and Farewell to Kenya

Start your final day with a hearty breakfast by the lake before we enjoy a leisurely walk around the resort. Stroll through the serene surroundings, where you can spot zebras, giraffes, and other wildlife up close in their natural habitat. It’s the perfect way to soak in the last moments of your safari adventure.

After our relaxing walk, we’ll head back to Nairobi. The drive offers one last chance to enjoy the beautiful Kenyan landscapes. Once in Nairobi, we’ll make sure you’re all set for your flight home. With hearts full of memories and cameras full of incredible shots, we say goodbye to Kenya – until next time!

Optional Beach Extension: For those looking to extend their adventure, how about some relaxation at one of Kenya’s stunning beaches? You can opt to stay a few extra days and unwind on the white sandy shores of Diani Beach, enjoy the vibrant culture of Mombasa, or explore the coral reefs of Watamu. Perfect for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and soaking up the coastal vibes. Let the waves be your soundtrack as you reflect on your unforgettable safari experience!

We reserve the right to change any part of the itinerary during the tour, as many of the tour activities are weather dependent and roadworks/ traffic/ group dynamics etc might affect travelling time.

Is this trip right for you

  • Purpose-built 4WD Safari Landcruisers are used for the duration of the trip.
  • This itinerary features some long travel days, which can be exacerbated by bumpy African roads. It is recommended that you pay close attention to the given approximations of driving hours.
  • As the early bird catches the worm, the early camper sights the animals. There will be many early starts either to make use of the better safari time or to beat the morning traffic on long travel days.
